The Yard Sale is A-coming!

For most of us, outer order contributes to inner calm.

Having order will make our lives happier, healthier, more productive and more creative. By getting rid of things we don’t need, don’t use, or don’t love, as well as things that don’t work, don’t fit or don’t suit, we free our mind (and
our shelves) for what we truly value. When we get our possessions under control, we feel both calmer and more energetic.

It’s been two years since our last yard sale and we have great expectations for this year’s! Let us hope, because we have now disrupted regularly-scheduled activities for the entire week of July 5th while we have this fun-filled, hard-working week of planning, sorting, and pricing in preparation for the sale on Saturday, July 11. Join us in this all-out endeavor to have a successful yard sale.

Spring is just around the bend and it’s time to get organized and simplify our lives. We hope you will donate all those unused items that have been collecting dust and causing extra work. Items that sell well are kitchen gadgets, home accessories, throw pillows, pictures, lamps, rugs, tables of all sorts, craft items, linens, toys, collectibles, children’s books, garden tools – and don’t compost those garden plants that are crowding out your garden, re-pot and donate, garden/outdoor furniture, tools, seasonal decorations – Halloween, Christmas, etc. As you gather items for the sale and find that you’re out of storage space we now have limited space in the office building basement. You will need to contact Susan Kuehn to make arrangements (please do not contact our Office Manager). Furniture or large objects will have to be stored outside under the over-hang, and we ask that you hold off as long as possible on those items.

Please do not donate items that are not working or broken, and – because they don’t sell – we will not take TVs, electronics, VHS tapes, cassettes and associated players, large appliances. And please, no books (other than children’s books mentioned above).
